nice to meet you
Hello Everyone,
My name is Ms. McClarney. I was born and raised in Indiana and graduated from the University of Evansville in 2018 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12. I decided to trade the I.N. cornfields for the N.C. beaches and moved to Eastern North Carolina, where I began my teaching career. I taught the general education curriculum in an EC separate setting classroom for two years, employed though Craven County Schools. Now, I will be teaching the adaptive curriculum in Onslow County for the 2020-2021 school year. I am currently a graduate student at East Carolina University, where I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Mild Intellectual Disabilities. I find my purpose through teaching students of all ability levels how to be a happy, successful, and contributing members to our modern society. My "why" is to help students find theirs.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with friends and family. Living at the beach, I spend more time there than anywhere else! I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you this year and I cannot wait to see where this year takes us. Go Knights!
